Producer and Adjuster Continuing Education Reporting Requirements for Providers
Under Rule 10 of the Louisiana Department of Insurance, continuing education providers are required to submit an electronic report of the licensee attendance within 30 days of the completion of the program.
Course completions are now filed using the Education Roster Upload module option in Industry Access. Industry Access is the LDI’s web based portal interface used to facilitate a variety of electronic filings from industry. The Education Roster Upload module will provide continuing education providers the ability to directly upload course roster information to the LDI. Providers who are unable to utilize the online upload should contact LDI at cefilings@ldi.la.gov for an alternate method of submission.
To begin the process, you will need to register in Industry Access to create a User Account.
** If you need assistance verifying names or license numbers, you can search for active licensees on the LDI website using our Producer/Adjuster Search Tool.
Continuing Education Certificate of Completion
In addition to the roster reporting requirement, continuing education providers must give each person who successfully completes a continuing education program a certificate of completion for the student’s records. A provider may use a certificate of their own design provided the following data is included:
-
the Louisiana
course number
-
the name of the
provider
-
the name of the
attendee and
-
the Louisiana producer or adjuster license
number of the attendee
A licensed producer or adjuster may submit a copy of that certificate of completion to the Department at cereports@ldi.la.gov.
