Directive 210
All health insurance issuers, health maintenance organizations (“issuers”), third-party administrators (TPAs) and group self insurers are hereby directed to disclose the following information to the Commissioner, pursuant to the authority found in La. R.S. 22:1644B and La. R.S. 22:1984A.
Company Information
Issuer Information
The total volume of member months (for each member, member months is defined as the sum of months for which that member was enrolled during the specified time period) for covered persons who were provided major medical coverage including medical benefits provided to employees of group health plans.
The total volume of member months (for each member, member months is defined as the sum of months for which that member was enrolled during the specified time period) for covered persons for which the issuer acted as a TPA for major medical coverage including medical benefits provided to employees of group health plans.
TPA Information
The total volume of member months (for each member, member months is defined as the sum of months for which that member was enrolled during the specified time period) of covered persons for which the TPA administered benefits for major medical coverage including medical benefits provided to employees of group health plans.
Group Self-Insurers Information
The total volume of member months (for each member, member months is defined as the sum of months for which that member was enrolled during the specified time period) for covered persons for which the group self insurer provided major medical coverage to employees of group health plans.
