Military Service Information
A licensed producer or adjuster who is prevented from meeting the continuing education requirements and/or prevented from filing a license renewal in a timely manner due to military service may request a waiver of those requirements and waiver of any late fee associated with the late filing or reinstatement of an insurance producer or adjuster license. To make such a request the licensee must:
- Submit a written request for the waiver with an explanation of why they were unable to meet the continuing education requirements and/or file the renewal in a timely manner.
- Provide copies of their deployment or other orders confirming their engagement in military service during the renewal period.
A producer may submit this information up to five years and an adjuster may submit this information up to one year after the lapse of a license after the lapse of a license to request that the license be reinstated without meeting the continuing education requirement and without paying a penalty or late fee for reinstatement. However, upon reinstatement of the license, the producer or adjuster becomes responsible for meeting the continuing education requirements for the next renewal of that license. If an additional waiver is required due to recurring military service renewal or reinstatement of the license, the producer or adjuster must file such a request again.
